A Day In The Life - Wendy Perriam’s diary ‘Our Holiday in Switzerland’ was my biggest influence for this project, it includes illustrations, collaged tickets and findings from her trip. Her map which shows her journey from London to Lugano was what inspired me to map out my journeys over the course of a week by using thread and to record everything that I did in the style of a journal.

 

The publication is 185 x 142 mm and is Japanese bound together with red thread. This coincides with the red thread used inside, which was used to map out locations I had visited.  I used French folds as a solution to hide the loose ends of the thread and the black was used to create the maps that show the locations visited.
