Taking Pictures Isn't a Crime - As a group we researched different campaigns that Amesty are promoting and after group discussion selected Shawkans campaign. We went on to producing a live campaign day centred around the idea of Shawkans work as a photojournalist. For this we created handouts a social media campaign aswell as 3D props to get the public involved. On the campaign day we collected over 150 signatures taking photographs of the public with our symbolic hands.

Our campaign video that we produced for Amnesty showcases our day in London. The point of the campaign was to make the public aware of Shawkan’s case. Using the hand gesture of him mimicking the gesture of holding a camera we encouraged positive conversation and awareness through the use of props.
